Last we checked Avigdor Lieberman doesn't support overthrowing the US government...

E-mail Print PDF

Avigdor Lieberman01/22/12 There have been recent reports that US officals do not want to meet with Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, and are especially loathe to be photographed with him. Presumably the US officials do not want to have pictures show up anywhere that might suggest they agree with, endorse, or have anything to do with Lieberman.  Well, given how photos can be manipulated, and the need for representatives of the US government not to look as if they cavort with "nutjobs" or, heaven forbid, "racists" (as they apparently are convinced by the msm that Lieberman is), can you really blame those officials?  Heck yes! Lookie here:

US Amb. to Egypt Anne Patterson and Muslim Brotherhood Guide Mohammed Badie at a January 18, 2012 picture of the US Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, looking all happy and gushy over the appropriately named Mohammed Badie, the supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Is Badie as bad as Lieberman?  Well, yes.  He not only wants to rid the world of Israel and the Jews, he also hates America and wants Arabs to stand together and rise up against "Zio-American arrogance and tyranny,"  and predicts the fall of the United States because it is "a nation that does not champion moral and human values."  Challah gives all the details here.

NYT and Haaretz Israel's greatest enemies?

E-mail Print PDF

New York Times01/19/12  According to an unsigned JTA article, Steve Linde, the current editor in chief of the Jerusalem Post, announced to a group in Tel Aviv that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu privately told him that the two biggest enemies Israel has are the New York Times and Haaretz.  Linde added his own parenthetical, that he thought the Prime Minister would mention Iran. So maybe we should suggest adding Linde to that list of enemies, by inserting his own thoughts to make Netanyahu's sound ridiculous. True, Iran is a far greater concentrated threat than is the NYT and Haaretz's Chinese water torture drip-drip-chipping away of Israel's humanity, credibility and desirability, but it's that drip that cannot be defended against, whereas Israel can and will have to do what it has to do to defend against Iran.  UPDATES Netanyahu has  denied making the statement.   And now Linde is claiming he "didn't know there were going to be journalists in the room" when he related the comments, and also that his "words were taken out of context."  But the tape is available here (comment at issue at approximately 19 seconds).  BOTTOM LINE: we'll never know precisely what it was that Netanyahu told Linde about Israel's enemies, but we know for sure what Linde told a room full of people. And Linde is the one who breached journalistic ethics and simple morality by repeating at least some version of a private conversation to a room full of people.Steve Linde

CONFERENCE OF JEWISH LEADERS REAFFIRMS ITS RESPECT FOR CONGRESSMAN ALLEN WEST

E-mail Print PDF

For Immediate Release
Contact: Beth Gilinsky  (212) 726-1124 natlconference@gmail.com

December 21, 2011 -- At this time, the National Conference on Jewish Affairs (NCJA) would like to reaffirm the great support that Congressman Allen West has shown the Jewish People and the State of Israel.

In matters of life, actions are the greatest barometer of personal sentiment.  Thus, those detractors accusing Congressman West of being insensitive to Holocaust victims are exploiting the situation to their own political benefit. Congressman West, as he explained, used the term Goebbels-like, as is the norm today, as a reference to incessant propaganda to demonize an opponent.  We understand that is the context in which the Congressman used the phrase when speaking about how the mainstream media and some extremists in the Democrat Party have propagandized against Republican colleagues.

All politics and heated rhetoric aside, Congressman Allen West remains one of the greatest friends of the worldwide Jewish community and retains our confidence in his leadership and friendship.

The National Conference on Jewish Affairs is a pro-Israel, pro-America umbrella organization of Jewish leaders from across the nation.

"Moderate" Terrorist Leader Abbas Names Convicted Murderer of Americans as PA Adviser

E-mail Print PDF
01/03/12  Is there any justice in the world?  How can it be that a convicted murdering mastermind who was released from an Israeli prison is now appointed an adviser to a terrorist-loving and honoring regime that the world insists Israel is Mahmoud Abbasmistreating?  And this convict was released not because he had served his time and not because he was worthy of a pardon and not because he was falsely convicted, but for no other reason than that another band of terrorists kidnapped an innocent young Israeli man and used him as ransom.  And now we learn that the convicted murderer was not only released from prison and treated as a returning hero, but he has just been appointed an adviser to the Palestinian Authority by that moderate terrorist Mahmoud Abbas.  The murderer's name is Mahmoud Awad Dawra.   Convicted in 2006, Dawra was sentenced to 16 years in prison for his role in terrorist attacks against Israel.   But Dawra didn't just kill Israelis, he helped plan and execute the murders of three Americans, one, Esh-Kadosh Gilmore, the husband and father of a one -year-old at the time, and Rabbi Binyamin and Talya Kahana, their five daughers were injured in the attack, as well as orphaned. And yet the US government continues to insist that Israel gets back to the DAMN table (thank you Leon) to negotiate peace with someone who appointed Dawra, a convicted terrorist, as an adviser to the PA.  Any thoughts on what his advice will be?  "Terrorism pays" is my bet.

NCJA Aghast Conf of Pres. gave UN Amb Rice an Award

NCJA Aghast at Award Given to US UN Amb. Susan Rice
by Mainstream American Jewish Leadership Consortium

For Immediate Release
December 19, 2011

US Amb to UN Susan Rice, lecturing IsraelThe US Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, slammed Israel in a speech at the UN Security Council that was watched by the entire world last February.  Although Rice entered the US veto against a Security Council Resolution condemning Israel building homes in areas Israel captured in a defensive war in 1967 - and this only after the US offered to sign a non-Resolution statement with the same message - Rice then conveyed in the strongest possible way both orally and with body language, that she believed the building of Jewish homes in those areas is an international crime, is the basis for the mistrust of the Arabs, and is the reason there is no peace in the region.  Rice said then that the US agrees “with fellow Council members - and indeed, with the wider world - about the folly and illegitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity,” but because signing on to the Resolution might lead to a hardening of the positions of both sides, the US “therefore regrettably” vetoed the Resolution.

That was February.  And yet the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations honored Amb. Rice with its National Service Award last week.  And in doing so, they allowed Amb. Rice to reinforce a current popular meme in this election season that President Obama has been the very best friend Israel ever had.  And when accepting the Award from a Jewish audience, in a private session, Rice pointed her vitriol at the halls in which she spends her official time - the United Nations.  Instead of treating Israel to a tongue-lashing, Rice instead called Israel’s disgraceful treatment at the UN “relentless,” “obsessive” and “ugly.”  And indeed it is.  But Amb. Rice’s own attitude towards Israel within those halls has not been that of a close ally, but instead a disdainful and detached fellow member, at best.

The National Conference on Jewish Affairs calls on Amb. Rice to use the words that seemed to come so easily to her before a Jewish audience, and repeat them in the building where she has joined the cacophonous condemnation of the Jewish State.  If she does so, perhaps then Rice will prove she deserves a service award from Jewish organizations which put the treatment of Israel before domestic partisan politics.

The National Conference on Jewish Affairs is an umbrella organization of American Jewish leaders and groups which work to uphold the American Constitution and liberty, promote a strong and safe Israel and Jewish rights in the Land of Israel, initiate positive relations with our non-Jewish friends, protect our Jewish young people in educational institutions, and assert the rights and security of Jewish People across the globe.  NCJA is adamantly opposed to making concessions to terrorists in the Middle East or anywhere else across the globe.
